Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Dili Innovation Grants, applicants must:
- Be a legally registered business or startup.
- Have a clear, innovative business idea or product that can create a positive economic or social impact.
- Demonstrate a clear plan for growth and scaling, with measurable outcomes.
- Operate in sectors that align with DiliCapital’s mission (e.g., technology, renewable energy, social enterprises, healthcare, education).
- Have the potential for creating jobs and contributing to community development.
- Be committed to sustainable practices and responsible business operations.
What the DIG Program Offers

Applicants must submit the following documents to be considered for the grant:
- Business Plan: A comprehensive plan outlining your business idea, objectives, target market, competitive landscape, financial projections, and scalability.
- Grant Proposal: A detailed description of how the grant will be used, including specific objectives, expected outcomes, and budget.
- Impact Assessment: A plan for measuring the social, economic, or environmental impact of your business in your community or region.
- Team Profile: Information on key team members, their qualifications, and their roles in the business.
- Legal Documents: Proof of business registration, tax filings, and any other relevant legal documents.
Applications can be submitted by email to philanthropy at philanthropy@dilicapital.com. Ensure that all materials are included in one submission to avoid delays in processing.
Once submitted, the DIG committee will review all applications based on the following criteria:
- Innovation and Creativity: How unique and forward-thinking is the business idea or product?
- Feasibility and Scalability: Does the business have a clear path for growth and sustainability?
- Social and Economic Impact: Will the business positively affect the community, create jobs, or contribute to economic development?
- Leadership and Team: Does the team have the skills and experience needed to execute the business plan effectively?
Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview or pitch presentation to the DIG committee. This is an opportunity to present your business, clarify any questions, and demonstrate your vision and capacity to use the grant effectively.
Successful applicants will be notified within four to six weeks after the pitch. Grant recipients will be provided with financial backing, resources, and mentorship tailored to their needs. An agreement outlining the terms and conditions of the grant will be signed before funds are disbursed.
Once the grant is awarded, DiliCapital will provide continuous mentorship, regular check-ins, and resources to ensure the business is progressing and achieving its goals. Recipients will be required to provide periodic reports on the use of funds, progress, and impact.
