- Entrepreneurs must have a registered business or a business idea at a growth stage (early-stage or mid-stage).
- Must be based in Canada, Africa, or the Caribbean.
- The business must align with DEN’s mission of fostering innovation, sustainable growth, and community impact.
- Applicants must demonstrate a clear vision for growth and a commitment to overcoming challenges in their entrepreneurial journey.
- Personal Information: Basic details including name, contact information, and business background.
- Business Overview: A brief description of the business, its mission, products or services, target market, and the business’s vision for growth.
- Impact Statement: A section for applicants to describe how their business contributes to the economic development of their community or region.
- Challenges and Needs: Applicants must outline the challenges they face and the type of support they are seeking (e.g., funding, mentorship, networking, etc.).
- Growth Plan: A concise business plan or roadmap that outlines the entrepreneur’s goals and strategies for scaling their business.
- References: Optional, but recommendations from business mentors, colleagues, or industry experts can strengthen the application.
- Screening: Applications will be reviewed by the DEN selection committee, which includes seasoned entrepreneurs, investors, and business mentors.
- Interviews: Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview to discuss their business and their specific needs.
- Final Selection: Selected entrepreneurs will be notified and invited to officially join the Dili Entrepreneurs Network.
